Where Grams28 is ahead
The 108 is AED 51 cheaper and very small: 8.5 × 5.5 cm and 15 g. Its concealed elastic lets three slots take up to eight cards plus folded notes. It's full-grain Nappa leather from a named tannery, Gruppo Mastrotto, with LWG certification, and you can add hand-debossed initials. If you hand out business cards, Grams28 also sells the 125 Card Case (Dhs. 279) with a magnetic closure and room for 25 or more. You can see Grams28 at stockists in Dubai Mall, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Kuwait.
Where Emery is ahead
The Alden keeps cards apart in five slots, with a central pocket for notes, and it has RFID protection, which Grams28 doesn't mention for the 108. It's vegetable-tanned full-grain chèvre from LWG-certified tanneries. Goat leather has a fine natural grain that wears well in a pocket.
The terms differ most. Emery's warranty on the Alden is lifetime. Grams28's warranty page says cardholders aren't covered by its lifetime warranty "since they are consumable products". For a product that arrives defective, it asks you to email photos and says it will "rectify the issue". Emery gives you 100 days to return or exchange the Alden. Grams28 gives 30 days from delivery, you pay the return shipping, and a personalised cardholder can't be returned. Its returns page says the return cost comes off the refund. Its separate refund-policy page says refunds are made "less 10% for fees/expenses", and that Grams28 pays return shipping on defective items. Emery delivers free across the GCC. Grams28's cardholder page shows free shipping on orders above USD 89.
Which should you choose?
Choose Grams28 if you want the smallest, lightest holder for a handful of cards, at a lower price, with your initials on it.
Choose Emery if you want room for five cards plus notes in separate slots, RFID protection, full-grain goat leather, a lifetime warranty and 100 days to return or exchange.
