If you're choosing between the Emery Alden RFID Card Case and the Ryoko Joplin RFID Card Wallet, you're looking at two slim leather card holders with RFID protection. The Joplin holds more (up to 10 cards plus a cash slot), comes in green as well as black and tan, and can be monogrammed. The Alden is AED 140 cheaper, is made from vegetable-tanned full-grain chèvre with a leather lining, and comes with a lifetime warranty and free delivery across the GCC.
We make the Alden, so we're not neutral. Everything below comes from what each brand publishes on its website, and we've included where Ryoko comes out ahead.

Capacity
This is where Ryoko is ahead. The Joplin has two quick-access slots, a pocket for six to eight more cards and a slot for folded notes, so it can replace a small wallet. The Alden has five card slots and a central pocket. That's enough for the cards most people use every day, in a case that stays thin in a shirt pocket or a kandura.
Leather
The Alden is made from vegetable-tanned full-grain chèvre, a goat leather with a fine pebbled grain that hides scratches well, and it's lined in leather. The Joplin is oil pull-up leather, which has a rich look and shows wear quickly, and some people choose it for exactly that. Our leather glossary explains the terms.
Price, warranty and delivery
The Alden is AED 250, against AED 390 for the Joplin, or AED 425 with a monogram. Emery's warranty is lifetime; Ryoko's is two years for functional damage. Emery delivers free across the GCC. Ryoko delivers free in the UAE and prices delivery elsewhere by destination. Ryoko's refund policy page offers 100 days, but its product pages say 15 days, and monogrammed pieces can't be returned.
Which should you choose?
Choose Ryoko if you want room for up to 10 cards and cash, a green option, or your initials on it.
Choose Emery if you want a slimmer everyday case in pebbled chèvre with a leather lining, a lifetime warranty and free GCC delivery, for AED 140 less.
