The corporate gift that gets used is a small leather piece with no size to guess: a card holder, slim wallet or pouch for the wider team, and a laptop folio, travel wallet or bag for the few people closest to the business. Budget each group separately and order 3 to 4 weeks before the day you hand them out, which for UAE National Day on 2 December means choosing in early November.
Here's how we'd sort it if the gift list landed on our desk.
The short answer
- Split the list into 3 groups: the whole team, managers and key clients, and senior leaders. Budget each one on its own.
- For big lists, pick pieces with no size: card holders, wallets, pouches and laptop folios. Keep belts for small lists where you can ask the waist size quietly.
- Order 3 to 4 weeks ahead for 20 pieces or more, and add 2 or 3 spares.
- A smaller piece in good leather beats a bigger piece in poor leather. A card holder that ages well says more than a bag that peels after one summer.
- Skip the big logo. A quiet piece gets carried; a loud one stays in a drawer.
Who is the corporate gift for?
Most corporate gift lists fall into 3 groups, and each needs a different gift.
- The wider team. Something useful, with no size, that suits any taste. Card holders, slim wallets, pouches and desk pieces work for everyone.
- Managers and key clients. A step up in presence. A travel wallet, a belt or a laptop folio feels personal without being too personal.
- Senior leaders, board members, your biggest clients. This is where a proper work bag makes sense: a briefcase or a tote they'll carry into meetings for years.
Mixed team of men and women? Use pieces that suit anyone for the big group (card cases, pouches, mouse pads, laptop folios) and keep the gendered choices for the short lists where you know the person.
How much should you spend per person on a corporate gift in the UAE?
Here's how we'd split it, with pieces from our own range so you can see what each tier buys. Tiers use the regular price. Everything is 30% off as we write, so both prices are shown; the Prestige Briefcase and Astrid Tote also come with a free exclusive gift while that offer runs. Within each tier, pieces run from lowest to highest price.
| Tier | Per person (regular) | Works for | Example pieces |
|---|---|---|---|
| Team | Up to AED 300 | Whole office, new joiners, event guests | Leather Mouse Pad ~~AED 150~~ AED 105; Alden RFID Wallet ~~AED 210~~ AED 147; Nina Pouch ~~AED 220~~ AED 154; Alden RFID Card Case Chèvre ~~AED 250~~ AED 175 |
| Managers and clients | AED 300 to 500 | Department heads, key accounts | Voyager Travel Folio ~~AED 310~~ AED 217; Prestige Belt ~~AED 360~~ AED 252; Aegis Slim Laptop Folio ~~AED 400~~ AED 280; Voyager Travel Wallet in Tan or Black ~~AED 420~~ AED 294 |
| Senior and VIP | AED 1,000 and up | Leadership, board, top clients | Astrid Tote ~~AED 1,590~~ AED 1,113; Prestige Briefcase ~~AED 1,620~~ AED 1,134 |
Example: a 30-person office with 3 managers. Give the 27 team members an Alden RFID Card Case Chèvre (AED 175 each, AED 4,725), the 3 managers an Aegis Slim Laptop Folio (AED 280 each, AED 840), and keep 2 spare card cases (AED 350). That's AED 5,915 for the whole list at today's prices, or AED 8,450 at regular prices. We don't do bulk pricing, so each piece costs the same whether you buy 1 or 30.
When should you order corporate gifts in the UAE?
Most corporate gifting in the UAE clusters around 3 moments:
- UAE National Day, 2 December. Gifts usually go out in the last week of November, so choose in early November at the latest.
- Year end and New Year. Mid to late December, often with the annual awards or a team dinner.
- Ramadan and Eid. Ramadan 2027 is expected to start around 8 February, depending on the moon sighting, so decide client and partner gifts by early January.
Tip: work back from the day the gifts should be on desks. Our delivery within the UAE is estimated at 1 to 3 business days, but the delivery is the short part. Leave a week on top to check each piece, collect any belt sizes, write the cards and fix anything before the rest go out.
How many should you order, and how do you check stock?
- Order a few spares. Someone always joins late, and a client always gets added at the last minute. 2 or 3 extra on a list of 30 saves a scramble.
- Check stock per colour, not just per product. If you want 25 in tan, ask about 25 in tan.
- Avoid sized items for big lists. Belts need a waist size for every person: fine for 5 people you can ask quietly, hard for 50.
Buying for a team? We don't take corporate orders, and there's no logo branding, embossing, personalisation, gift box or bulk discount. Each piece is ordered on the site like any other order, with free delivery across the GCC.
How should you present a corporate gift?
The packaging is the first thing people see on their desk, so ask any supplier exactly what arrives with each piece before you order, and plan your own wrapping or box around it. We don't supply gift boxes, so with our pieces that part is yours.
A short handwritten card from the manager does more than any ribbon. Put the company name on the card, not on the leather.
Check before you buy: the leather is named, not just "genuine leather"; the edges are stitched and finished, not glued and raw; buckles and zips are stainless steel or a good-quality zip, so they don't tarnish in Gulf humidity; the warranty length is written down; there's a return or exchange window in case someone wants the other colour; the delivery date is confirmed in writing.
What should you avoid in corporate gifts?
- "Genuine leather" with no grade. It's often the lowest grade of real leather. Ask which leather it is; our guide to full-grain leather explains the grades.
- Items people already have 3 of. Generic pens, mugs and USB sticks rarely get used.
- Cheap plated hardware. In Gulf humidity it can tarnish within months.
- Leaving it to the last week. Late orders mean you take whatever's in stock, not what you planned.
Watch out: a large company logo on a wallet or card holder tends to keep it at home. People carry the quiet piece, and they remember who gave it.
Why does leather work as a corporate gift?
Leather is one of the few gifts that gets better with use. It suits every culture and faith on a mixed team, travels well and doesn't date. Every Emery piece has a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects, delivery is free across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar, and there are 100 days to return or exchange. That last part is handy for gifts: if someone would rather have the other colour, it can be exchanged.
