The right women's wallet depends on two things: how you pay, and which bag you carry. If you carry a tote or a shoulder bag and still use cash and receipts, a long wallet keeps everything flat and easy to find. If you switch between bags or carry a small crossbody, a trifold holds the essentials in half the space. And if you pay by phone most days, a slim card holder is all you need.
Here's how the four main styles compare, and which one we'd pick for each kind of day.
The four styles at a glance
| Style | Holds | Best with | Emery example | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Long wallet | 12 cards, notes laid flat, coins in a zip pocket | Totes, work bags, shoulder bags | Victoria Long Wallet | AED 350 |
| Trifold | 6 cards, folded notes, 2 flat pockets | Crossbody bags, smaller handbags, switching bags | Victoria Trifold Wallet | AED 290 |
| Card holder | 5 cards and a central pocket | Phone payers, evening bags, a pocket | Alden RFID Card Case | AED 250 |
| Zip pouch | Coins, cards, folded notes, keys | Inside a big tote, so small things don't get lost | Nina Pouch | AED 220 |
Long wallet: for the woman who carries everything
A long wallet keeps notes flat, so you're not unfolding receipts at the till. The Victoria Long Wallet has 12 card slots, two large gusseted compartments, a zipped coin pocket and a slit pocket on the front for the card you use most. It closes with a magnetic flap, so it opens with one hand.
It's the best fit if you carry a tote or a work bag every day. It's too long for most small crossbody bags, so if that's your bag, look at the trifold.
Trifold: the everyday middle ground
A trifold folds into a compact square that fits almost any bag. The Victoria Trifold has six card slots, one large note compartment and two flat pockets, in soft pebbled leather with a leather lining. It also has RFID protection, so contactless cards inside can't be read by a scanner held close to your bag.
Pick it if you change bags often, or if you want one wallet that works for the office and for the weekend.
Card holder: if you pay by phone
If Apple Pay or Google Pay covers most of your spending, you probably only need your Emirates ID, a bank card and one or two others. The Alden RFID Card Case holds five cards plus a central pocket for a folded note, in vegetable-tanned chèvre (goat) leather with a fine pebbled grain that hides scratches. It also has RFID protection.
It's small enough for an evening clutch, or a jacket pocket when you don't want a bag at all.

Zip pouch: for the bottom of your tote
A pouch isn't a wallet replacement for everyone, but it solves one problem well: small things disappearing into a big bag. The Nina Pouch is full-grain pebbled leather with a full leather lining and a brass zip, and it holds coins, a few cards, folded notes and keys. Some women use it on its own for a quick errand.
How to choose: three questions
How do you pay? Mostly by phone, choose a card holder. Card and some cash, a trifold. Cash, receipts and loyalty cards, a long wallet.
What bag do you carry most? Measure the inside pocket of your usual bag. A long wallet needs a tote or a work bag; a trifold fits nearly anything.
Do you want RFID protection? All three have it: the Victoria Long Wallet, the Victoria Trifold and the Alden Card Case.
What to look for in the leather
Full-grain leather is the top layer of the hide, with the natural grain left on. It's the strongest grade and it ages well instead of peeling. Pebbled leather, like the Victoria range, has a textured grain that hides small scratches, which matters for a wallet that goes in and out of a bag all day. Our leather glossary explains the other terms you'll see.
In the UAE's heat, keep your wallet out of a hot car and away from perfume bottles, which can stain leather. Our leather care guide covers the rest.
Buying it as a gift
A wallet is one of the safest gifts for a woman, because everyone uses one. If you don't know her habits, the trifold is the safest choice. Every Emery piece has a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, delivery is free across the GCC, and there are 100 days to return or exchange it.
